CITY TOURS IN SANTIAGO AND VALPARAISO AREA
Santiago City Tour

Santiago [or Santiago De Chile] is the capital city of Chile. This city holds about one third of the Chilean population, and it is one of the fastest growing cities of South America.
On this tour you will visit the historical downtown area, where you’ll see the Presidential Palace "La Moneda", as well as the Constitutional Square.
As we tell you the stories and history of this great city, we’ll make our way to the former National Congress building, along with the Justice Palace, en route to the impressive Plaza de Armas (Main Square). At this square, you can find the Cathedral; the former Governor’s Palace, which is now the Main Post Office; the National History Museum, and the former prison, now the city hall.
We will continue, in order to see the “Mercado Central”, followed by Parque Forestal; Barrio Bellas Artes; Barrio Lastarria; the Santa Lucia Hill, which is where Santiago was founded in 1541; you’ll also see Barrio Paris-Londres, and Barrio Bellavista, which is a sheek, colorful artist colony, now turned into the place where you can find some beautiful restaurants and quite unique bars.

When visiting the city of Valparaíso, you won’t want to miss the best that the city has to offer. If you’re interested in real local activities, then this tour is perfect for you.
We start out by picking you up at your acomodation. From there we are dropped off in a vehicle at Caleta Portales, a local fisherman’s cove, where the fieshermen are reeling in their day’s catch, and they start selling fish off the boats. We take a few minutes to walk around and we then proceed to feed the Sea Lions.
The tour continues with us heading towards Argentina Avenue to take the Trolley Bus. We’ll get off at Plaza Victoria, and take a walk through the former, “Grand Avenue” of Valparaíso. From there we will go to “La Empanada Famosa” for one of their famous empanadas, which you can have with either a beer or a soft drink.
We’ll go up to the Concepcion and alegre hills for a short walking tour, seeing the churches, the century old houses, the dogs, cats and colors, and astounding views that this city has to offer. We’ll descend towards Plaza Sotomayor, and jump on a boat, to take a ride around the bay.
After this, hunger will most likely strike, and we’ll head to one of the city’s best local restaurants, “Los Porteños”, for a local meal (specialty is seafood, but they do have other food as well).
After lunch we’ll go towards Paseo 21 de mayo, and walk to Playa Ancha, to see the local life up in the hills. We’ll walk through the old Harrington Victorian homes, arriving at “El Antiguo Naval” Emporio (antique minimarket), where we will end the tour.

Neruda's Isla Negra House + Quintay Lunch

A great destination in the southern coastal area of the region of Valparaiso, are Isla Negra & Quintay, which happen to be about an hour from Valparaiso, driving through the Casablanca Valley.
Our itinerary here, consists of visiting the home of Pablo Neruda, followed by a beachside lunch in the small cove of Quintay.
Quintay is where fishermen pull their boats in during the morning and provide fresh fish and seafood to the local restaurants in the area. There are many restaurants in this place, and after lunch, you can walk to the end of the strip, look at local handcrafts, and you’ll be at the former Whale Processing Factory of Quintay, which is a very interesting place, and you can watch how this process used to take place through films, and pictures.
